This role supports patients across the lifespan—from pediatric to geriatric—delivering comprehensive audiological services focused on the assessment, treatment, and prevention of hearing and balance disorders.
Position Overview:
The Audiologist will provide a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services related to auditory and vestibular function, including:
- Assessing and diagnosing auditory function using behavioral and electrophysiological measures
- Evaluating vestibular function through clinical and electrophysiological testing
- Counseling patients and families on hearing loss, treatment options, and educational implications (particularly in pediatric cases)
- Evaluating and fitting amplification devices, including osseointegrated devices (adults only), with ongoing patient education and support
- Assessing and managing tinnitus Educating patients on hearing conservation and noise protection strategies
Qualifications
Education:
- Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) preferred; Master’s degree with relevant experience considered
Experience:
- Completion of an accredited clinical externship required
- 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
- Eligible for or active Audiology licensure in the State of Vermont
- Eligibility for CCC-A or ABA Board Certification
